 Much like design, sometimes the hardest part is where to begin. So, just as I would do when designing for you, I'll begin with a little background: I have been practicing interior design for fifteen years in both in Minneapolis, MN and Mitchell, SD. I have also had projects in Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa and Florida. The majority of my projects are residential including remodeling, new home planning, and a good deal of construction. I do also practice commercial design. I have always loved color, art, architecture, and landscape so interior design has ended up to be a natural and fulfilling choice.
By personality I am energetic and assertive, yet have an easy-going nature which I am told helps make design projects less stressful and more enjoyable. One of the first questions people ask is what is my style. I like many styles and though I do have my own, I realize it is not for everyone. What makes each project interesting and challenging is to define and develop its own, one that truly represents the clients' personalilties and lifestyles.
As your interior designer, this is what I can do for you: I'll guide you through the process helping avoid costly mistakes by helping you set priorities and advising how to spend your money wisely. I have a multitude of product and finish resources from which I'll help you make the best selections. I'll connect you with the contractors and suppliers that fit your project needs and follow through the details to make sure construction and installation are completed to your satisfaction. I can help you blend differing styles and opinions and even be a referree when necessary. I don't keep design tips a secret, you can be involved in the process as much or as little as you like so you learn the details of your personal style and can become comfortable making purchases and decisions confidently. Most of all, I hope to make design fun and your "dailey" surroundings more you.
